Two people in a small flat-bottomed boat became stuck in the river at Mariner Point Park, prompting a water rescue response Monday.
What’s Happening: Units from Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and Middle River Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Joppa Magnolia sent a quint, two chief units, and a utility vehicle.
The Boat: The two people were aboard a jon boat, a small flat-bottomed aluminum vessel commonly used for fishing in shallow water.
