Aberdeen High School is getting a new synthetic turf field this summer, more than a decade after the original was put in.

What’s happening: Harford County is replacing the artificial turf field at Aberdeen High School. The original field was installed in 2013, making it about 13 years old.

What’s new: Construction began this week and is expected to wrap up in mid- to late August.

What this means for you: The track and turf field at Aberdeen High School are closed to the public while work is underway.
