A two-car crash on Willoughby Beach Road brought firefighters and sheriff’s deputies to the Abingdon area Monday afternoon, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged.
What happened: The crash happened about 1 p.m. in the 2300 block of Willoughby Beach Road. Photos from the scene show a blue Kia coupe and a black Ford SUV with severe front-end damage, with debris scattered across the road. A heavy rescue unit and Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded.

What we know: Both vehicles appear to have collided head-on or near head-on based on the damage visible in photos. The road was blocked at the crash site. It is not clear how many people were in either vehicle or whether anyone was taken to a hospital.
What’s still unknown: The cause of the crash has not been released. No information about injuries or charges has been made available.
