Harford County drivers could face delays when a colossal transformer rolls through the county.
🚨 What We Know: The transformer weighs 560,500 pounds, or about 280 tons. It will travel through Baltimore and Harford counties.
The Maryland State Highway Administration announced the move Saturday afternoon. Officials did not provide the transformer’s route or expected arrival time other than to say that it would be rolling through Harford on Monday night.
🚗 Take Action: Slow down if you encounter the transport. Stay alert and leave crews plenty of space.
Escort vehicles will help crews move the transformer safely. Never drive between the load and those vehicles.
🔎 What’s Next: Check state traffic updates before traveling Monday night. Without a published route, Harford County drivers should prepare for possible delays.
