Havre de Grace is hosting a free community fall festival Saturday, October 24 on North Washington Street from 1 to 5 p.m.
What’s happening: The festival includes live music, food, drinks, and activities for families. Here is what is planned:
- Live music from Soundtown Baltimore.
- An inflatable corn maze and pumpkin painting.
- A pie eating contest, sponsored by Jaime Bakes.
- A milkshake drinking contest, sponsored by Vintage Café.
- Beer gardens and café seating.
- Local nonprofits on site with information and activities.
- A visit from the Chesapeake Gateways Roving Ranger, a National Park Service program that brings rangers to community events.
What else to know: The Polar Bear Plunge Patrol will also be at the festival. The Polar Bear Plunge is a fundraiser where participants jump into cold water to raise money for Special Olympics Maryland. Anyone who wants to sign up to plunge can do so at support.somd.org.
