Surveillance video captured four people entering Music Land in Bel Air on Feb. 3 and taking a 1947 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar before leaving a short time later.

What’s Happening: The group went into Music Land at 200 Gateway Drive at about 8:20 p.m., removed the guitar from a display area, concealed it, and walked out.

What’s Important: Police put the guitar’s value at about $15,000. It has distinctive cracking on the back from prior refinishing and a unique serial number that could help confirm ownership if it is recovered.

What’s Still Unknown: Police have not identified the four people shown in the video.

How to Help: Anyone who recognizes the individuals, has information about the incident, or knows where the guitar is, or about its sale or attempted sale, is asked to contact Officer K. Martin with the Bel Air Police Department at 410-638-4500 or kmartin@belairmd.org.
