One man is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Edgewood late Friday night, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office said.
What’s Happening: Deputies were called to the area of Grempler Way and Brookside Drive just after 11:15 p.m. on April 3. They arrived in less than a minute.
What’s Important: Officers found a 22-year-old man conscious and breathing with an apparent gunshot wound to his shoulder and neck. He was stabilized and taken by EMS to a Baltimore-area trauma center. A second victim, a 20-year-old man, was found unresponsive in the roadway in the 1900 block of Eloise Lane with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. EMS personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. He was identified as Bryan H. Burrows Jr. of Edgewood.
What’s Still Unknown: The circumstances leading to the shooting have not been released. No arrests or suspects have been publicly named.
The Path Forward: Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Services Unit have taken over the case, which remains active. The sheriff’s office said the people involved knew each other and described the incident as isolated. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Thumma at 443-567-7201.
