Aberdeen police say a 24-year-old woman pulled out a circular saw inside a hotel elevator and held the exposed blade to an employee’s neck, leaving the worker with a small cut.
Officers responded at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, to a report of an aggravated assault in the 900 block of Hospitality Way, police said.
What’s Happening: Police said Ananda Pollard, of Chevy Chase, was in an elevator with a 43-year-old hotel employee when she allegedly took a circular saw from a bag, exposed the blade, and put it to the employee’s neck.
What’s Important: The employee grabbed Pollard’s arm to stop the attack, but the worker suffered a small laceration on the left side of the face, police said. Pollard was arrested without incident and charged with two counts of assault and reckless endangerment, police said.
