Harford County educator Erica Richardson won the Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence at the NEA Foundation’s gala Saturday night.
What’s Happening: The Maryland State Education Association posted Sunday that Richardson received the Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence at Saturday night’s NEA Foundation gala. Richardson is a teacher at Joppatowne High School.
What’s Important: The Travelers Award for Teaching Excellence is a national award given through the NEA Foundation, the charitable arm of the National Education Association, to recognize outstanding classroom teaching.
The Award: The award is presented in partnership with Travelers, an insurance company, as part of the NEA Foundation’s Salute to Excellence in Education program, which recognizes educators from across the country.
