Aberdeen police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened Saturday night on Beards Hill Road.
Police said the crash occurred March 14 at about 8:05 p.m. in the 900 block of Beards Hill Road.
What’s Happening: Officers responding to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian found that a gray Genesis G70 struck 63-year-old Rudolph Risby Jr. of Aberdeen as he crossed the roadway in a non-signalized location. Police said the car was driven by 18-year-old Mark Trusty III of Aberdeen.
What’s Important: Aberdeen EMS treated Risby at the scene, but he died from his injuries.
The Process: The Aberdeen Police Traffic Safety Unit and the Maryland State Police Crash Reconstruction Team investigated at the scene. Police said the crash remains under investigation.
