Harford County will hold its Public Safety Day Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mountain Christian Church in Joppa. The event is free and open to families.

Attendees can see emergency vehicles and equipment up close, pick up risk reduction resources, and enjoy food trucks and live music. Kids can climb on and sit inside fire and emergency medical service vehicles, including a rescue truck, ladder truck, pumper, ambulance, and swift-water rescue boats. A special operations utility truck will also be on display showing the equipment used in rescue operations.

Participating agencies include the Aberdeen Police Department, Aberdeen Fire Department, Bel Air Police Department, Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Havre de Grace Police Department, Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack, Harford Volunteer Fire and EMS, Darlington Volunteer Fire Company, Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company, Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company, Level Volunteer Fire Company, Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company, Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, Susquehanna Hose Company, and Abingdon Fire Company.
