The Harford County Farm Fair returns Saturday for eight days of livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, live music, and agricultural displays at the Harford County Equestrian Center on North Tollgate Road in Bel Air.
What’s happening: The fair runs July 18 through July 25 at 608 N. Tollgate Road. Track events include the J Bar W Ranch Rodeo on Tuesday, an antique tractor pull on Thursday, truck and tractor pulls, Tuff Trucks, flat track motorcycle races, and Chesapeake DockDogs competitions throughout opening weekend. Fireworks light up opening night Saturday at 9 p.m. Families will also find a barnyard and kidway with inflatables, a straw maze, and pony rides on select days, plus contests ranging from a celebrity milking contest and Ag Jeopardy to pie eating and corn husking. Local vendors will sell vegetables, baked goods, crafts, and food throughout the week, and live music plays in the entertainment tent every night.
Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, the fair is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, gates open at 4 p.m. and close at 10 p.m.
What it costs: Admission varies by day. Kids ages 6 to 11 pay $5 and children 5 and under get in free every day. For adults:
- Opening weekend, July 18-19: $10
- Monday, Tuesday, and Friday: $15
- Wednesday and Thursday: $10
- Closing Saturday, July 25: $10 before 4 p.m., $15 after 4 p.m.
The path forward: The fair closes the evening of Saturday, July 25.
