Two more free outdoor movie nights are coming to Bel Air’s Shamrock Park, with the next one happening Friday.
What’s happening: The Bel Air Downtown Alliance is hosting the remaining two Summer Movie Nights of the season at Shamrock Park, 39 N. Hickory Ave. Both events are free and open to the public.
The dates and movies:
- July 17: “Zootopia 2,” sponsored by Display Local Media.
- Aug. 21: “The Minecraft Movie.”
The schedule: Pre-show entertainment starts at 7:15 p.m. at the Band Shell. The movie begins at 8 p.m.
Before the movie: Each night includes pre-show activities and entertainment. July 17 features a performance by Empire Dojo, with activities including face painting, a Bel Air Public Library booth, MyGym, Coppermine, and Shimmery Strands. Aug. 21 features ATA Martial Arts Maryland, with face painting, the library, MyGym, and Coppermine.
Food: Several food trucks will be on site both nights, including Odells, Deli-ish, Macho Chicken, Kona Ice, and The Sweet and Salty Chic.
Parking: Parking in downtown Bel Air is free on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays. Municipal lots, street parking, and the Hickory Avenue parking garage are all options.
Weather: Both events are weather permitting. If a movie is cancelled due to weather, it will not be rescheduled. A cancellation call will be made by 3 p.m. the day of the event.
