A section of Bridge Drive in Joppatowne will close for about two weeks starting Monday, May 4, for maintenance work on the bridge deck over the Gunpowder River.
What’s Happening: The closure runs along Bridge Drive between Towne Center Drive and Shore Drive. Emergency vehicles and school buses will not be allowed to cross the bridge at any point during the closure.
What’s Important: Drivers, pedestrians, and school bus routes will all be affected. Everyone should follow posted detour signs or plan alternate routes before the closure begins.
How This Affects Real People: Anyone who uses Bridge Drive to cross the Gunpowder River will need a different route for the duration of the work. School buses that travel through the area will also be rerouted.
