A 16-year-old Fallston boy is dead after his electric dirt bike collided with an SUV Tuesday afternoon at a Harford County intersection, according to Maryland State Police.
The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Maryland Route 152, also known as Fallston Road, and Pleasantville Road. The teen was airlifted to a local trauma center by Maryland State Police Aviation Command, where he was pronounced dead. No one else was injured.
How It Happened
According to state police, a Honda CR-V was heading south on Route 152 when the driver attempted a left turn onto Pleasantville Road. The electric dirt bike, traveling north on Route 152, struck the Honda on the passenger side.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, according to state police. Troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack were the first to respond, and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office handled traffic control at the scene for about two hours.
What Comes Next
The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation. Once complete, the case will be turned over to the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office, which will determine whether criminal charges will be filed.
