Harford County is under a severe thunderstorm watch through 10 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
What’s happening: The watch covers all of Harford County. A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to develop in the area.
What this means for you: Residents should stay alert and be ready to take shelter quickly if a warning is issued. A watch means severe storms are possible — not that they are guaranteed.
The path forward: The watch expires at 10 p.m. Residents should monitor local forecasts for any upgrades to a warning, which would mean a severe storm has been spotted or is imminent.
