What’s Happening: The watch was issued by the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington office and covers a large portion of the mid-Atlantic region, including Harford County.

What’s Important: Three threats are listed with the watch:

  • Wind gusts up to 70 mph.
  • Isolated hail up to quarter size.
  • A couple of tornadoes possible.

How This Affects Real People: A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe storms to develop. Harford County residents should watch for changing weather through 9 p.m.
