Three candidates led the Havre de Grace City Council race Tuesday night, but the outcome is not yet official. Absentee and provisional ballots still need to be counted.
What’s Happening: Voters chose three City Council members Tuesday. Unofficial election-day results show incumbent Casi Boyer leading the field, followed by Lizz Clarke and David Glenn.
By the numbers:
- Casi Boyer: 813 votes
- Lizz Clarke: 743 votes
- David Glenn: 695 votes
- George Kasnic: 611 votes
- Kirk D. Smith: 415 votes
- Tammy Lynn Schneegas: 414 votes
- Victoria Miller: 158 votes
What’s Important: The results are unofficial. Absentee and provisional ballots will be counted May 7 at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 711 Pennington Avenue. Results will not be certified until after that count.
What’s Still Unknown: Smith and Schneegas are separated by one vote in the unofficial count. Absentee and provisional ballots could change the order of finish.
Turnout: Havre de Grace had 11,859 active registered voters as of April 15. Of those, 1,475 cast standard ballots election day.
The Path Forward: The Board of Election Supervisors will canvass absentee and provisional ballots May 7. Official results will be certified after that process is complete.
