Severe thunderstorms are forcing Bel Air police to evaluate whether tonight’s Independence Day fireworks will happen.

What’s Happening: The Bel Air Police Department said it is monitoring approaching weather and evaluating whether fireworks can safely go forward. The area is under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 8:45 p.m.

What’s Important: Police plan to re-evaluate around 9 p.m. and said they will share a decision as soon as one is made.
