A student assaulted two teachers at Roye-Williams Elementary School in Havre de Grace on Tuesday, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Both teachers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical services responded to treat them and transport them for further care.

What we know: Deputies and school personnel quickly detained the student. No other students were injured, the sheriff’s office said.

At the school: The assault triggered a modified lockdown and delayed dismissal. The school planned to offer additional counseling services for students Wednesday.

What’s still unknown: The sheriff’s office did not release the student’s age or grade, the nature of the assault, or what charges, if any, the student may face.
