The City of Havre de Grace canceled its Fourth of July fireworks display Sunday night because of the weather forecast, according to the Havre de Grace Police Department.

What’s Happening: The city called off the show, which had been scheduled for the evening of July 5. The police department asked residents to share the announcement.

What’s Important: The National Weather Service forecast called for an 80% chance of rain Sunday night, with showers and thunderstorms expected before 8 p.m. and continuing through midnight. Between a quarter and half an inch of rain was possible.

Storms walloped Havre de Grace last night, leaving downed trees and residents without power.

No rescheduled date was announced.
